📸 What You'll Do

  • Transport patients requiring radiographic procedures and assist imaging technologists and radiologists.
  • Prepare room, equipment, and supplies for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Assist technologists and radiologists during procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging services.
  • Maintain quality assurance, safety, and infection control standards.
  • Manage patient care during procedures, observing radiation safety rules.
  • Process information in PACS Lifechart and other applications relevant to job duties.
  • Greet and escort patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
  • Assist with patient transport and positioning for imaging procedures.
  • Maintain stock levels of supplies and ensure proper storage and inventory management.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of imaging rooms and equipment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalency required.
  • Completion of a Tech Assistant training program or previous experience as a Tech Assistant or Tech Aide.
  • Basic Life Support Certification is required.
  • Numerical and analytical skills for preparing contrast media and following procedures.
  • Manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment.
  • Understanding of Radiation Safety and ALARA principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and perform basic arithmetic computations.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and interpersonal skills for patient care.
