📸 What You'll Do

  • Assist clinically and technically in invasive and non-invasive cardiac catheterization/electrophysiology procedures.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain specialized physiological systems and instrumentation.
  • Assist physicians in the preparation and performance of procedures.
  • Acquire, enter, and record data, performing various tests and calculations.
  • Set up and check all monitoring and recording equipment for cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Operate biomedical equipment to monitor patient status during procedures.
  • Participate in procedural activities including room prep, fluid preparation, and equipment maintenance.
  • Assist as surgical scrub tech during device implants using aseptic technique.
  • Transport patients and equipment to and from procedure areas as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate of Science degree in an AMA-accredited Allied Health related field or a certificate of completion from an accredited program in radiology, cardiovascular technology, nursing, engineering, or related health science required.
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) certification required.
  • Certification in BLS and ACLS required within 3 months of hire or transfer into the position.
  • 1 year experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, or Interventional Radiology Lab required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with technical Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiologic equipment.
  • Analytical skills to assess operation and reliability of Cath/EP equipment.
  • Understanding of cardiovascular physiology and disease.
  • Ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillate patients.
